I got her at the shelter in Bozeman today. She was picked up as a stray in Belgrade two weeks ago. They guess that she is a year or so old. She weighs 35 pounds but I'm sure with my cooking she will fill out a bit. ;)
So far (4 hours) she is a good dog. Very mellow - we traveled no more than a few miles before she just laid down on the passenger seat and napped. As I write this, she is sitting at my feet. She's affectionate and curious (two of my favorite qualities in any creature.) She knows to sit, will come when called, she doesn't pull on the leash (even when a rabbit ran in front of us), was friendly when meeting another dog and people.
This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
